I went to the local public school till about 3rd grade, then my mother got fed up of them treating me like I was stupid and a misbehaving brat, even though I had a known learning disorder. Plus that school didn't have a very good reputation then, so she pulled me out and put me in private school that went all the way up to 12th grade. Unfortunately my time at the other school made me so shy I had trouble making friends at my new school. I think I did ok though, it got better in high school when I began to care less about it.

Date: 21/1/10 09:08 (UTC)*points to own list of schools* My parents kept moving for unknown reasons; I suspect it had to do with their depressions and drug use. It's hard to get a straight answer out of them - they're both sort of in la la land when it comes to trying to pin down hard fact. *sighs* The end result of it all was that I don't have the overwhelming need to take abuse for the 'privilege' of belonging in social groupings, and am generally content being a hermit. Oh, and I did sort of burn out on education young, to my dismay, but then? I had one school sending me home with work so complex that my parents couldn't solve it, and they ARE extremely bright people (for all their other faults).
