Distinctive. I pride myself on being my own person and I typically shun being lumped into conformist things. I don't think people take enough pride in being themselves and often try too hard to be like everyone else because they think others will like them more if they do.

Date: 19/8/10 15:30 (UTC)I think my parents instilled a sense that the only expectations I should live up to are my own. My mother was also very much 'I don't give a damn about what anyone else thinks of me because they don't know the real me', which I think rubbed off on me.
I like being different, I think I bring a whole new perspective to the world, rather than just the black and white way people sometimes see things.

Date: 19/8/10 16:03 (UTC)It does; I can empathise with that. But I'm sure that comes as no surprise to you. :) I can also empathise with the serial outsider; I admit that I have a soft spot for the fringes of humanity, which probably leads to me and my weird analysis of relationships. *giggles*
