Writer's Block: Are you incentivized?

[Error: unknown template qotd]
Well that word for a start, incentivized gets on my nerves. I can barely pronounce it given my obsessive compulsive need to pronounce things properly, the way they were meant to be. 'Think outside the box' is another one. It's vague and cliche. I prefer to 'use my creativity to come up with new ideas' since that's technically what you're doing when 'thinking outside the box'.

And speaking of my compulsive need to pronounce things correctly, if my mother-in-law tells me one more time about her migraines and pronounces it 'me-graine', I think I may scream. It's a 'mi-graine', there's a reason it's an 'i' and not an 'e'.

Also in the same vein, I can't work out whether David Cameron has been saying 'nuclear' or 'nucular' in the debates, which brings me to another catchphrase - 'War on Terror'. I'm aware of that thanks, now I wish politicians would quit using it as an excuse to pass stupid laws and regulations to do whatever the hell they want.

They'll get away with the 'War on Terror' excuse as long as there are morons who need to be swaddled in cotton wool. 'Cause, to quote - WON'T SOMEBODY THINK OF THE CHILDREN?!?!?!111one

In short - gag me with a wooden spoon. And I'm with you on the migraine debate.

Oh lord, I'd forgotten the 'what about the children' brigade. I could do without the PC brigade as well, pretty soon we won't be able to say anything because it might 'offend' someone. :P

That too... I keep hoping things will hit a boiling point and go back to a less censored time, but with comics getting slapped (metaphorically) for cracking jokes.. we all need to grow a sense of humor, especially me. *nods*
